The President's Executive Order

The President's Executive Order may have titanic effects on public schools, universities and other agencies receiving federal funding.

Last Tuesday, the President of the United States issued a full Executive Order expanding his determination to halt all training based upon Critical Race Theory within any agency affiliated with the U.S. government.

The President denounced CRT's "false belief that America is an irredeemably racist and sexist country."

The President's Executive Order, which is aptly titled, "Combating Race and Sex Stereotyping," will disrupt funding for academia's Critical Race Theory programs, and stop all federal grants for programs that incorporate CRT in its teaching.

Programs based upon Critical Race Theory often use the descriptors, "diversity," "equity," "inclusion," "social justice," or "anti-racism" in the title, or in the course description and content. Sounds really good! Until you look under the hood.

Any private company working with the U.S. government cannot continue teaching Critical Race Theory, anywhere within its offices, if they want to keep working with the U.S. government.

This is an extraordinary move. Clearly the President is on a mission, like a heat-seeking missile. And for good reason.

It is yet to be seen how all of this will affect K-12 public schools and universities. You can be sure the lawyers are scrambling as you read this post.

Why would the President of the United States take such zealous measures to abolish something that most Americans have never heard of? What is "Critical Race Theory?" Why is it such a menace?

To answer that question, we are including a short summary statement that explains the problem in plain and simple English. If you are unfamiliar with the term "Critical Race Theory," or with Critical Theory in general (from whence CRT came), we recommend you take immediate steps to educate yourself. Start here.

The title of the summary is: A Formula for Loss of Free Speech, Collapse of Moral Order, and the Downfall of the United States. This is important. Pass it on.

Why Social Justice Is Not Biblical Justice

What's behind the chaos? What's the solution ahead?

Few will report it, and the mainstream media will ignore it. But Renewanation has done the research, and is breaking the news here today: George Floyd and the policeman involved in his death were of the same race.

And there's more to the story:

A study published by the Bureau of Justice Statistics found that between 2003 and 2009, an average of 535 arrest-related deaths per year occurred (42% white, 32% black). Yet, none of these deaths sparked the kind of chaos we've seen in the past 4 months.

What's going on here?

More importantly: what's the solution to the chaos?

To understand what's going on here, we must understand the ideology behind the rage, and we must look to The Book for lasting solutions.

We must understand the difference between "Social Justice" and "Biblical Justice," for these two "justices" are fundamentally unequal.

In his newly published book, Scott Allen explains the difference in plain and compassionate English. His much-needed work is titled, Why Social Justice Is Not Biblical Justice: An Urgent Appeal to Fellow Christians in a Time of Social Crisis.

Marvin Olasky says about this book: "We are a wounded nation now, and Christians need to bind up wounds and not make new ones. Instead of scorning those who push for social justice, we should recognize that leftist ideologies have twisted the concept--and some Christians have naively gone along with the distortion. Scott Allen offers an alternative that's crucial to consider."

Darrow Miller, co-founder of Disciple Nations Alliance, put it this way: "Scott, who has dedicated his life to fighting poverty, hunger, and injustice, has done us all a service in reflecting on the biblical concept of justice in comparison with the ideology of social justice."

In this very timely and important work, Scott Allen not only provides a well-documented analysis of the issues, but a clear trumpet sound for moving forward. Not only does he clarify what a biblically informed Christ-follower must be against, when it comes to "Social Justice," but what a biblically informed Christ-follower must be for, when it comes to "Biblical Justice."

Stuck on the first paragraph?

If you trace the history of George Floyd and the policeman, you will discover they go back to the same grand-grand-grand...grandparents: Adam and Eve.

There's one race: the human race.

That's biblical.

Why Is The U.S. So Horribly Divided?

On a busy Memorial Day weekend a few years ago, Christian Overman and his wife, Kathy, went to the Seattle Center to set up a video camera and record randomly selected participants answering the following question:

"How do you define 'right' and 'wrong,' and how to you determine the difference?"

After 1.5 hours of nearly back-to-back interviews, with no shortage of willing participants, not a single person made even a passing reference to the Bible, to the "Golden Rule," to the 10 Commandments or to any other specifically Judeo-Christian measurement of morality.

Jesus was never mentioned, nor was God.

What did people make reference to?

The following samples of responses given that day explain why the United States is so horribly, unavoidably divided (3:48 minutes):

[If this video does not play, click https://youtu.be/JcSSf0Vefhc]

How did our nation arrive at this point?

In the 1960s, we removed Bible readings from public schools, and in the 1980s, we removed the 10 Commandments from the classroom walls. We forgot that Noah Webster ("the Schoolmaster of the Nation") told us education was "useless without the Bible."

In the Preface to his Dictionary of 1828 (which not only shaped the way Americans spelled, but how Americans thought), Webster declared:

"In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people."

Today we want freedom from Christianity, not freedom via Christianity.

How's it working out?

Webster referred to the Bible as "the only book which can remedy, or essentially mitigate, the evils of a licentious world."

In a letter written in 1836, he asserted: "Any system of education...which limits instruction to the arts and sciences, and rejects the aids of religion in forming the character of citizens, is essentially defective."

What grade would Noah Webster give our schools today?

Could the removal of the Bible from our public schools have anything to do with our nation's stunning inability to provide a fitting answer to the basic question, "how do you define 'right'' and 'wrong,' and how do you determine the difference?"

Why is the U.S. so horribly divided?
